I have been trying to get my Christian Hospitality contact [name omitted] to give me the organizations tax ID but am not getting a response…just a referral to this website. My mother, sister and myself have donated numberous items and had forgotten to request the tax ID. Who do I need to contact to get the information???
Thank you for your inquiry. I presume you mean by “Tax ID”, the so-called “Employer Identification Number” issued by the Federal tax-system to businesses. Please note Christian Hospitality (christianhospitality.org) is not a business and doesn’t have any employees, but is a Christian fellowship, and therefore is not issued an “Employer Identification Number”. Religious groups are not taxable by federal law.
Some donors have found the following information helpful —
1) Go to the official IRS website (www.irs.gov)
2) Go to the “non-cash donations” page (or search for it in the search box at irs.gov)
3) Give amounts only (in $$)
4) List the organization (Christian Hospitality christianhospitality.org) and date
5) Download form 8283 (if the total of all your varous charitable donations was worth more than $500, or see for more general information IRS publication 526).

we tried to submit our receipt with our accountant last year, and you all were not listed as an organization we could claim to write of our donation $ amount???
Thank you for your question. Christian Hospitality (christianhospitality.org) is a Bible-believing Spirit-filled Christian fellowship, not a so-called “501(c)3 not-for-profit” organization. No Christian fellowship comes under the Federal Tax law according to the American Constitution, unless it chooses to do so by (foolishly) applying for and receiving 501(c)3 status or a similar tax-designation. Receiving that “privilege” (lol) from the Federal machine means then you gag yourself to “not criticize politicians”!!!! Great eh? (for the Federal machine). Obviously every Christian group in the country should keep as far away as possible, like we do, from that so-called “privilege”! There are Federal tax regulations which allow people to claim discounts on their Federal tax for donations, and we have suggested a possible route for such people in another answer to a comment on this page. You might be able to take that route successfully. The disgusting abuse by the criminal organization known as the IRS which has had the effect of stifling the exercise of religion in this country, and free speech, ought to be thoroughly exposed, and perhaps I will address that by the Word of God on this blog in the near future. I have been aware of and have donated to Christian Hospitality (CH) for several years now. My husband and I are aware that they are not a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization; therefore, donating to them is not a charitable deduction for tax purposes. We do know that CH services the poor in our community and choose to donate to them anyway to help those families in need who are less fortunate than we are. We have donated everything, including clothes (men’s/women’s/children’s, purses, shoes, socks, ties, belts, etc.), indoor/outdoor furniture, TV’s, books, toys, sleeping bags, suit cases, electronics, kitchen appliances and gadgets, etc. – they will pick up anything, anywhere, anytime – no donation is too big or too small for them! We always obtain a receipt showing that we donated to CH and attach a list of all our items donated. We let our tax accountant see that it was listed as part of our yearly charitable donations, but because CH is not a 501(c)3 organization, there is no tax deduction – just a satisfied soul knowing that someone in need has been helped.

I would suggest letting your accountant know there is a procedure for obtaining tax deductions for contributions to religious operations as detailed in the comment-replies on this page. No religious organization is federally taxable, unless it (stupidly) applies for so-called “not-for-profit” status. This is a federal scam in order to tax and muzzle freedom of religion. By treating the group as a “business” (if the group stupidly accepts that description of itself) the IRS can “tax the business” instead of the individuals of that group who are not taxable. This is an extortion racket run by the federal government which cons you out of your Constitutional rights not to be taxed on your property. Just thought I’d make that clear to you.
